This theme is a standard blog layout, with the 3 column theme layout option chosen, and a few additional features.
Featured Images, Post Excerpts & Post Navigation
Be sure to go into your Genesis -> Settings -> Archives section and check the box to INCLUDE FEATURED IMAGES. The demo site is using the 730×285 option chosen. Also note that the “Display post content” option is chosen and for the demo the character limit displayed is 361. The post navigation technique that has been chosen for the demo is “Numeric”.
For this theme demo, the Primary and Secondary navigation bars are not used.
Instead, we set up the main menu under Appearance -> Menus, and used the Custom Menu widget in the Header Right area with this menu selected.
The widget on this demo uses the eNews Extended Widget Plugin. The widget allows the site administrator to set the either the Feedburner ID or form action, e-mail form field and hidden fields to mimic the subscribe form of other mailing list services. We do not offer support for this plugin. Please contact the plugin developer with questions through the WordPress Plugin Support forum.
Change Color Scheme
Blue is the default color scheme for this theme. If you want to change the color scheme to green or coral you will need to go to Genesis -> Color Style. Choose the color option you want and then save.
Change Color Scheme for Social Circles Widget
If you use the Social Circles Widget like the demo, you might want to change the colors to match the color scheme you have chosen.
As you can see below, the demo site is using the Ubuntu font choice. You can change the font, and you can change the colors of the circles as they normally look as well as upon hover. The icon color choices to match would be as follows:
